In the winter of 1971, four young men: one researcher, one marketer, one manufacturing manager, and one engineer with an energetic, entrepreneurial spirit, joined together to find a better way to manufacture diamond grinding tools. From those humble beginnings, Abrasive Technology has grown into a multi-national corporation with facilities in five countries.

Abrasive Technology develops, manufactures and markets state-of-the-art diamond and CBN tooling for grinding applications. Many of our products have unusual and sophisticated applications. These applications are demanding in performance capabilities and tolerance requirements.

Our highly specialized superabrasive expertise has been developed through designed integration of our skilled customer service, R&D, engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance associates.

We primarily serve the aerospace, automotive, metal working, medical, dental,ophthalmic, gear, lapidary, glass, tile and stone industries. Each has its own challenges, requiring technically superior solutions.

Our P.B.S.® brand bonding process was formulated to solve specific problems in many of the industries we service. Using this process, we are able to produce tools that are unequaled for fast, cool cutting and long life.

Another innovation uses diamond and CBN crystals with a metal matrix on a flexible Kevlar® belt or disc. This is used for quick stock removal on highly abrasive materials.
