Medical & Dental Insurance
Abrasive Technology offers a complete health care and dental plan to associates. We offer two medical plans, a traditional PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) and an HSA (Health Savings Account). Medical and Dental coverage is offered at no cost to individual associates who select the HSA (Coverage for individual PPO, family members and dependents is available at additional cost). These benefits are available to you on your 31st day of employment.
Life Insurance/Accidental Death & Dismemberment
The amount of life insurance (also paid fully by the Company for individual associates) is one (1) times an associate’s annual regular earnings. The maximum amount of life insurance and accidental death and
dismemberment coverage is $50,000.
Short-Term Disability/Long-Term Disability
AT also provides short-term and
long-term disability insurance at no cost to associates. For short-term
disability, a weekly benefit equal to 60% of an associate’s weekly earnings
will be paid to the associate for the first 13 weeks of disability. For
long-term disability, a monthly benefit, equal to 60% of an associate’s monthly earnings
will be paid to the associate after 13 weeks of continuous total disability.
Sick/Personal
Sick and personal time is provided for associates when they are unable to come to work due to illness or unavoidable personal circumstances.
